(L.A.) Jonatan Perez, 29, Died on a Street

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 29-year-old Latino male that occurred on a street in the Vermont Square area.
The coroner’s office identified the man as Jonatan Perez.
Manner of Death: Accident
Cause of Death: Multiple Blunt-Force Traumatic Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday.
The decedent was riding a bicycle when he was hit by a vehicle at around 12:50 a.m.
LAPD said the vehicle that hit him was southbound on Figueroa Street. He was eastbound on Vernon Avenue when the collision happened.

VERMONT SQUARE, LOS ANGELES, July 13 (KNN) – Los Angeles firefighters and police officers from the 77th Division responded to reports of a bicyclist struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Vernon Avenue and Figueroa Street in the Vermont Square neighborhood within South Los Angeles.
When first responders arrived on the scene shortly before 1:00 a.m. on Sunday, they found a vehicle that had crashed into two parked cars, with parts of a bicycle scattered across the roadway just south of the intersection on Figueroa Street.
Firefighters discovered the bicyclist pinned beneath one of the vehicles. They extricated the victim, who was later pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle was transported to the hospital.
