(L.A.) Joline Salas, 20, Died in the Desert

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 20-year-old Caucasian female that occurred in a desert.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Joline Salas.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Blunt Trauma

RIP JOLINE SALAS (April 1, 2002 – April 19, 2022)

Killed when the car she was driving crashed in the Lancaster area. The crash occurred at about 2:10 p.m. Tuesday on Avenue F near 85th Street West, according to the California Highway Patrol.

She was not wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash and was ejected from the vehicle, resulting in fatal injuries.

The woman was driving a 2003 Acura sedan westbound on Avenue F “at a high rate of speed with high winds in the area,” when her vehicle veered to the right, she lost control of the vehicle, and it traveled off the roadway and overturned.

The involvement of alcohol and/or drugs is not suspected.
