(L.A.) Joey Unks, 42, Died on a Sidewalk

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 42-year-old Caucasian male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Joey Unks.

Cause of Death: Effects of Methamphetamine

RIP JOEY LEE UNKS (November 9, 1980 – January 20, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 9:05 a.m.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.

The decedent’s body was not claimed by anyone, so the local government had it cremated on February 24.
