(L.A.) Joeffer Reyes, 20, Died at a Roadway Intersection

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 20-year-old Asian male that occurred at a roadway intersection.

The coroner’s office has identified the young man as Joeffer Reyes.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Traumatic Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 4:10 p.m.

The decedent may have been of Filipino descent.

LOCATION: Sepulveda Blvd & Figueroa St
AREA/CITY: Carson, L.A. County

DETAILS:

Units were dispatched to a multi-vehicle accident involving a semi-truck and 3 passenger vehicles.

Units arrived on scene and located a horrific accident with 4 patients, 2 of whom were trapped.

Three patients were transported to a local trauma center with serious injuries.

One patient unfortunately succumbed to his/her injuries at the scene.

The collision was so violent that the truck involved in the accident caught fire.

Sepulveda Blvd & Figueroa St intersection was closed for an unknown duration.
