(L.A.) Joe Veloz, 47, Died at a Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 47-year-old Latino male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Joe Veloz.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl and Cocaine Toxicity

RIP JOE LEE VELOZ (January 3, 1978 – May 21, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on July 8, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
