Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 48-year-old Hispanic male that occurred in a garage in the 500 block of South Coronado Street.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Joaquin Gonzalez.

Manner of Death: Suicide

Cause of Death: Hanging

RIP JOAQUIN GONZALEZ (March 20, 1973 – March 19, 2022)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 4:30 a.m.

Incident location was his residence near MacArthur Park, in the Westlake / Rampart Village district of the city, between Koreatown and Downtown. The building is right across from the church Iglesia De Cristo De Poder.
