(L.A.) Jerry Settlemire, 43, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 43-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Jerry Settlemire.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl, Methamphetamine, and Alprazolam

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 8:26 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in mid-May, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
