(L.A.) Jeff Morton, 42, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 42-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Jeff Morton.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Hypoxic-Ischemic Encephalopathy

Cause of Death B: Complications of Elective Septorhinoplasty Procedure

Other Significant Conditions: Cardiac Septal Hypertrophy; Mild Coronary Artery Disease

A septorhinoplasty is a planned surgery to correct the nasal septum and reshape the nose.

Deaths associated with septorhinoplasty or other cosmetic nasal surgeries are extremely rare.
