(L.A.) Jeff Engels, 58, Killed in a Hit-and-Run

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 58-year-old Caucasian male that occurred on a road.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Jeff Engels. Born in L.A. County. Mother’s maiden name is Mikula.

RIP JEFF ENGELS (October 6, 1964 – February 7, 2023)

According to the California Highway Patrol, the decedent was a motorcyclist killed in a hit-and-run collision Tuesday evening in the 7000 block of Soledad Canyon Road, east of Briggs Road, near Acton.

Acton is an unincorporated census-designated place near the Antelope Valley.

The collision involved a white single-cab Chevrolet or Ford truck traveling westbound on Soledad Canyon Road, west of Briggs Road. The driver fled the scene.

Engels was pronounced dead on the scene.
