(L.A.) Jeannie Martinez Lucero, 56, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 56-year-old Hispanic female that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Jeannie Martinez Lucero.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl and Hydromorphone

RIP JEANNIE MARTINEZ LUCERO (October 16, 1968 – October 24, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 10:54 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on January 14, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
