(L.A.) Jeaninne Tobias, 56, Died From Drug Abuse

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 56-year-old Black female that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Jeaninne Tobias.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Methamphetamine and Phencyclidine

Other Significant Condition: Congestive Heart Failure and Asthma

RIP JEANINNE TOBIAS (May 26, 1968 – July 16, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 5:40 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on December 10, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
