(L.A.) Jay Cramer, 50, Died at a Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 50-year-old White/Caucasian male who passed away at his residence.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Jay Cramer.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Complications of Quadriplegia

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday.

The decedent was an actor and comedian best known for guest-starring roles in television series such as Grey’s Anatomy, Desperate Housewives, and NCIS: Los Angeles.

He had become a quadriplegic after a 2005 hiking accident that shattered his cervical vertebra and resulted in the loss of arm, hand, and leg function. He was training for an appearance on “Survivor” by rock climbing in Malibu when he slipped and fell.
