RIP JASMINE LLITERAS (December 11, 1979 – April 22, 2024)
Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 12:58 p.m.
The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on September 4, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drugs.
Zolpidem is a medication commonly prescribed to treat short-term insomnia. It’s a type of sedative-hypnotic that works by affecting certain chemicals in the brain that may be unbalanced in people with sleep problems. Zolpidem is usually taken just before bedtime and is intended to help with falling asleep.
Like many medications affecting the central nervous system, zolpidem can have side effects. There have been reports of mood changes, including suicidal thoughts or behavior, in some patients taking zolpidem.
