(L.A.) Janvi Maquindang, 21, Died From a Head Shot

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 21-year-old male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Janvi Maquindang.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound of Head

RIP JANVI MAQUINDANG (December 19, 2002 – November 16, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 2:07 a.m.

The decedent is one of four people who died in a mass-shooting incident in Lancaster. He was a younger brother of Christine Aca-ac. The siblings were of Filipino descent.

Maquindang’s boyfriend Matthew Montebello was taken off life support at a hospital late Sunday night.

UPDATE: On Thursday, police arrested Miguel Sandoval, 19, on four counts of murder. His bail has been set at 8 million dollars.
