(L.A.) Jamsheed Shamloo, 64, Died on a Hillside

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 64-year-old male of “Middle Eastern” ethnicity that occurred on a hillside.
The coroner’s office has identified the man as Jamsheed Shamloo.
Manner of Death: Suicide
Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound to the Head

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 4:26 p.m.
Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in early July.
Based off the name, one can guess that the decedent was Iranian/Persian in heritage.
* The ME/C belatedly updated the government’s database entry to reflect their determination that the decedent was of “Middle Eastern” origin.
There is a record in California state’s Missing Persons database of a Jamsheed “James” Shamloo whose last date of contact was January 15, 2023. The birth date matches the decedent’s.
Height: 5 feet, 10 inches. Weight: 185 pounds. Last seen wearing blue scrubs.
He appears to have been a plastic surgeon from Encino who graduated from Oregon Health & Science University in 1994/1996.
* There were two major cases against this doctor handled by the state’s Medical Board. In 2008, his Physician’s and Surgeon’s certificate was revoked but stayed, and he was placed on probation for two years and was forced to enroll in a clinical training program. In 2015, his Physician’s and Surgeon’s certificate was again revoked and he was placed on probation for four years.
