(L.A.) James Spry, 56, Died at a Homeless Shelter

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 56-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred at a homeless shelter.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as James Spry.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death A: Acute Cardiac Dysfunction

Cause of Death B: Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease

Other Significant Condition: Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease

RIP JAMES SPRY (August 26, 1968 – April 15, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 7:30 a.m.

The government investigator had at first stated that the decedent passed away at his residence.
