(L.A.) James Sackheim, 62, Ended His Life

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 62-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred at a private residence.

The coroner’s office identified the man as James Sackheim.

Manner of Death: Suicide

Cause of Death: Combined Effects of Methamphetamine, Fentanyl and Zolpidem

RIP JAMES SACKHEIM (February 25, 1962 – October 10, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 1:27 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on February 12, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

Zolpidem, sold under the brand name Ambien among others, is a medication primarily used for the short-term treatment of sleeping problems.
