(L.A.) Jakim Maulana, 28, Committed Suicide

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 28-year-old Black male that occurred at an embankment in Boyle Heights.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Jakim Maulana.

Manner of Death: Suicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound to the Head

RIP JAKIM MAULANA (November 6, 1993 – July 14, 2022)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 8:33 p.m.

The decedent was known professionally as Jak Knight, an American actor, comedian and writer. He voiced the character of DeVon in the Netflix animated series “Big Mouth.”
