(L.A.) Jaime Bañuelos, 58, Died in an Accident

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 58-year-old Latino male that occurred on a street in Santa Clarita.
The coroner’s office has identified the man as Jaime Banuelos.

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 11:48 p.m.
The decedent was killed in a two-vehicle collision in Santa Clarita over the weekend. The crash occurred at around 11:26 p.m. at Soledad Canyon Road and Sierra Highway.
Jaime Bañuelos had worked at Heritage Christian School for more than 40 years.
On Saturday night at around 11:26 pm, the Antelope Valley CHP station received a call of a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Soledad Canyon Rd and Sierra Highway, in Acton.
Upon arriving on the scene, emergency services personnel found a mangled Lincoln Continental and a white Toyota down in the embankment.
The driver of the Lincoln was taken to Antelope Valley Hospital via ambulance with unknown injuries. The driver of the Toyota, 58-year-old Jaime Bañuelos, was rendered life-saving measures at the scene, but succumbed to his injuries.
According to witnesses at the scene, it appeared that the Lincoln was travelling in a southbound direction at an unknown rate of speed when it broadsided the Toyota, that was possibly making a left turn onto Sierra Highway.
