Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 19-year-old Asian female that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the young woman as Jaeleen Melendres of Woodland Hills, California.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death A: Sudden Cardiac Dysfunction

Cause of Death B: Myocarditis

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 3:25 p.m.

The decedent appears to have been of Filipino descent.

A tox panel was ordered by the medical examiner, but nothing noteworthy was found.

She expired at 7300 Medical Center Drive, West Hills, CA 91307, the address of West Hills Hospital and Medical Center.
