Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 50-year-old Black female.

The coroner’s office identified the woman as Jacquelyn Chivers.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Methamphetamine Toxicity

RIP JACQUELYN CHIVERS (July 30, 1974 – April 11, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 3:40 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on June 2, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
