(L.A.) Alan Cruz Rodriguez, 37, Died in a Parked Vehicle

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 37-year-old Latino male that occurred in a parked vehicle on the shoulder of a road.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Alan Cruz Rodriguez.

Cause of Death: Effects of Cocaine

Other Significant Conditions: Medical History of Schizophrenia, Depression, and Drug Abuse

RIP ALAN CRUZ RODRIGUEZ (October 18, 1987 – May 11, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 2:11 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on July 7, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
