Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 25-year-old Black male that occurred at a private residence.
The coroner’s office has identified the man as Jacob Wheatley.
Manner of Death: Accident
Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl
Other Significant Condition: Recent Cocaine Use
RIP JACOB WHEATLEY (September 7, 1998 – December 17, 2023)
Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 10:50 a.m.
The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on March 4, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drugs.
