(L.A.) Jacob Seong, 67, Died at a Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 67-year-old Asian male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Jacob Seong.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Smoke Inhalation and Thermal Burns

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 4:40 a.m.

The decedent died after a fire broke out at a home in La Cañada Flintridge.

Firefighters were dispatched to the 2000 block of Rancho Cañada Road at a little before 4 a.m. after learning of the blaze.

They arrived to find the home single-family, two-story home on fire, but were able to control the blaze within 20 minutes.

While searching the building, they found one man dead at the scene.
