Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 71-year-old Black male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Jacob Puearry.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death: Sequelae of Diabetes Mellitus

RIP JACOB PUEARRY (June 27, 1952 – July 19, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 10:30 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on September 25, presumably after the results of tox screening came back negative for substances.
