Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 20-year-old Asian male that occurred in a park.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Jacob Kim.

Manner of Death: Suicide

Cause of Death: Traumatic Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 3:12 a.m.

The decedent’s name is fairly common in the Korean American community. There was a three-month-old baby named “Jacob Kim” who died from pneumonia in L.A. on November 1, 2004 .
