Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 64-year-old Asian female who passed away at her residence.

The coroner’s office identified the woman as Hilaria Ofalla.

Manner of Death: Suicide

Cause of Death A: Asphyxia

Cause of Death B: Hanging

RIP HILARIA MARALIT OFALLA (May 14, 1961 – February 28, 2026)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday.

The decedent was of Philippine origin. She was employed by LAPD as a Management Analyst in 2022 with a total pay of $139,500 and had been at North Hollywood Division from 2014.

Research shows that police employees in general—including civilian staff, dispatchers, and other non-sworn personnel— face elevated suicide risks. They are complicit enablers and indispensable cogs in the police state.
