(L.A.) Hever Cordova Castillo, 35, Died From Fentanyl Use

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 35-year-old Latino male that occurred in a vehicle.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Hever Cordova Castillo.

RIP HEVER CORDOVA CASTILLO (April 6, 1989 – December 25, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 12:21 a.m.

Looking at the time, the decedent could well have died on Christmas Eve but was not officially declared dead until past midnight.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on February 26 the following year, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
