(L.A.) Henry Portillo Arana, 25, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 25-year-old Latino male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the young man as Henry Portillo Arana.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Multiple Organ Failure

Cause of Death B: Acute Ethanol Intoxication

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 3:28 p.m.

This is a case of acute alcohol poisoning. The decedent drank too much in one go, not realizing it could kill him. Unintentionally killing oneself is classified as an accidental death.
