(L.A.) Hassan Nasserolmemarin, 71, Died on a Sidewalk

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 71-year-old Caucasian male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Hassan Nasserolmemarin.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death: Arteriosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease

RIP HASSAN NASSEROLMEMARIN (February 6, 1947 – August 25, 2018)

The decedent was an immigrant from Persia. He was one of five children. All his family remained in Iran, except for a sister who migrated to Canada.

Attended Marvi High School in Tehran. Then immigrated to the United States when he was 20.

College of the Canyons in 1970/71. Wrestler.

Did not finish his education. Married a Caucasian woman who already had four children. Did not have children of his own. Divorced.

Worked as a cab driver.

At the age of 39, charged with the attempted murder of his employer Siros Moatazedi, the president of the taxi company, in December 1985.

Found guilty by a jury and sentenced to seven years. On appeal, counsel presented evidence that the defendant was mentally ill and should have had an insanity defense.

He had been diagnosed by court-appointed experts as suffering from a paranoid disorder, but still deemed mentally competent.

Cremated by the county in December 2018.
