(L.A.) Harley Mendoza, 5, Died From an Accident

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a five-year-old Hispanic female that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the girl as Harley Mendoza of La Puente.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Asphyxia

Cause of Death B: Drowning

Other Significant Condition: History of Autism

RIP HARLEY MENDOZA (July 16, 2019 – February 23, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 6:37 p.m.

The child had fallen into a neighbor’s swiming pool in Avocado Heights, an unincorporated community in the San Gabriel Valley.
