(L.A.) Gustavo Vitale, 57, Died on a Sidewalk

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 57-year-old male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Gustavo Vitale and listed his race/ethnicity as Latino.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Combined Effects of Methamphetamine and Alcohol

Other Significant Conditions: Chronic Alcoholism, Liver Cirrhosis with Hepatic Encephalopathy, Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension, Idiopathic Epilepsy

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 7:22 a.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on May 23, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive from the lab.
