Ondansetron, sold under the brand name Zofran among others, is a medication used to prevent nausea and vomiting caused by cancer chemotherapy, radiation therapy, or surgery. It is also effective for treating gastroenteritis.

While hypersensitivity reactions to ondansetron are rare (estimated incidence less than 1 in 100,000 exposures), there are documented cases of fatal anaphylaxis associated with its use.
