Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 38-year-old Caucasian male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Garrett Ziegler. Born in L.A. County.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl, Heroin and Methamphetamine

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 12:40 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published around August 1, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.

The decedent had been arrested on February 27, 2017, in Malibu for 11350(A) – Possession of Narcotic Controlled Substance.
