Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 45-year-old Hispanic female that occurred in a hospital.
The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Giselle Luna.
Manner of Death: Natural
Cause of Death A: Hyperosmolar Hyperglycemic Syndrome
Cause of Death B: Uncompensated Diabetes Mellitus
Other Significant Conditions: Hypertrophic Heart Disease; Menorrhagia with Severe Anemia

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 7:31 p.m.
The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the COD ruling on February 15.
Hyperosmolar hyperglycemic state is a complication of diabetes mellitus in which high blood sugar results in high osmolarity without significant ketoacidosis. Symptoms include signs of dehydration, weakness, leg cramps, vision problems, and an altered level of consciousness. Onset is typically over days to weeks.
Since 2021, there have been fewer than 10 cases in which hyperosmolar hyperclemic state was mentioned in a death record made public by the county’s medical examiner.
We do not know if the decedent was injected with synthetic mRNA.
