(L.A.) Gerardo Morales, 48, Died From Meth

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 48-year-old Latino male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Gerardo Morales.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Methamphetamine

Other Significant Condition: Diabetic Ketoacidosis

RIP GERARDO MORALES (May 13, 1976 – July 18, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 9:19 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on December 10, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
