(L.A.) Frank Garcia, 31, Died at an Intersection

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 31-year-old Hispanic male that occurred at an intersection near Lancaster.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Frank Garcia of Apple Valley. Born in L.A. County. Mother’s maiden name is Ureno.

Cause of Death: Blunt Trauma

RIP FRANK DANIEL GARCIA (February 16, 1991 – October 7, 2022)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 7:25 a.m.

The decedent was in a traffic accident at around 7:05 am. He was driving a Chevy Silverado traveling westbound on Avenue J along with two passengers, approaching 140th Street East.

A white Nissan Frontier was stopped at a two-way stop sign and the driver failed to yield the right-of-way and entered the intersection.

The left front of the Nissan struck Garcia’s vehicle and caused it to overturn multiple times before coming to a rest on the eastbound dirt shoulder of Avenue J.

The passengers were a brother and a cousin of the decedent; they survived and were taken to the hospital. The female driver of the Nissan sustained minor injuries.
