(L.A.) Forrest Young, 53, Ended His Life

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 53-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Forrest Young.

Manner of Death: Suicide

Cause of Death: Tramadol, Venalafaxine [sic], Diazepam, and Codeine Toxicity

RIP FORREST YOUNG (September 6, 1970 – October 12, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 10:16 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on December 6, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drugs.

Venlafaxine, sold under the brand name Effexor among others, is an antidepressant medication of the serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (SNRI) class. It is used to treat major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, and social anxiety disorder.
