The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on July 10, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drug.
Methamphetamine abuse can lead to hypertrophic heart disease, characterized by thickening of the heart muscle, particularly in the left ventricle. This can result in reduced heart function and increased risk of heart failure.
