(L.A.) Ferdinand Cuevas, 54, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 54-year-old Asian male who passed away in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Ferdinand Cuevas.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Methamphetamine

Other Significant Condition: Atherosclerotic and Hypertensive Cardiovascular Disease

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in late April, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.

The decedent may have been of Filipino descent.
