(L.A.) Eugene Segura, 41, Died the Day After a Two-Vehicle Collision

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 41-year-old male of Filipino ethnicity that occurred in a hospital.
The coroner’s office has identified the man as Eugene Segura.

RIP EUGENE SEGURA (January 27, 1981 – August 29, 2022)
Died the day after being a vehicle collision where he was a passenger.
According to a CHP report, Wilber Montenegro was driving his white 2019 BMW M5 with two passengers southbound on San Francisquito Canyon Road, south of North Quail Trail, when he allegedly made an unsafe turning movement to the left.
Spencer Thomas was driving with his girlfriend Ashlynn Vonderau in a blue 1989 GMC Suburban northbound on that road when Montenegro traveled over double yellow lines and collided with Thomas’s vehicle.
The fiery collision resulted in the deaths of Thomas, Montenegro, Shane Rivera (the other passenger) and Segura, who died the day after the collision in a hospital.
A total of four people died in that one accident.
Four months later, Eugene Segura’s friend Jave Garanganao was murdered near USC.
