(L.A.) Esvin Alvarez Marin, 25, Died From Substance Abuse

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 25-year-old Latino male that occurred at a private residence.

The coroner’s office identified the young man as Esvin Alvarez Marin.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl, Lidocaine, Ethanol Toxicity

RIP ESVIN ALVAREZ MARIN (October 10, 1998 – September 23, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 4:04 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on January 6, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, overdose.
