(L.A.) Esteban Chaj Reynoso, 45, Died in an Accident

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 45-year-old Latino male that occurred on a street in Lancaster.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Esteban Chaj Reynoso.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Multiple Blunt Trauma

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 8:29 p.m.

The decedent was driving a pickup truck that collided with a big rig at an intersection.

California Highway Patrol stated that the crash occurred at 8:14 p.m. at Sierra Highway (SR 14) and Avenue G.

Reynoso was southbound on Sierra Highway in a 2019 Ford F-250 when his truck crashed into a northbound 2021 Freightliner driven by Jorge Gomez, 49, of Lancaster. Gomez suffered a minor injury.

Chaj is a distinctly Guatemalan surname.
