(L.A.) Erick Berrios, 31, Died on a Sidewalk

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 31-year-old Latino male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Erick Berrios.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Multiple Gunshot Wounds

RIP ERICK BERRIOS (April 1, 1994 – June 7, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday.

The decedent was an armed robbery suspect who was killed in a shootout that wounded a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputy in Lancaster.

The situation started with a robbery call at 7:20 p.m. in the 1200 block of Meadow View Circle, near West Avenue K and 12th Street West.
