(L.A.) Eric Hamermesh, 68, Died in a Parking Lot

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 68-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred in a parking lot in Calabasas.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Eric Hamermesh, resident of Texas.

The decedent died after a vehicle speeding into a parking lot hit a parked vehicle, pinning him between vehicles.

Incident location: 26400 block of Rondell Street

A vehicle entered the parking lot from Las Virgenes Road, accelerated uncontrollably, then collided with a parked vehicle.

The victim, who was exiting his parked vehicle, ended up pinned between the two vehicles. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
