(L.A.) Eric Garcia, 56, Died at a Motel

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 56-year-old Latino male that occurred at a motel.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Eric Garcia.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Arteriosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease

Other Significant Conditions: Morbid Obesity, Congestive Heart Failure, and Effects of Fentanyl and Methamphetamine

RIP ERIC GARCIA (November 19, 1967 – August 3, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 12:56 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on December 10, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
