(L.A.) Elsa Garcia, 66, Died in an Alley

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 66-year-old Hispanic female that occurred in an alley.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Elsa Garcia.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Sudden Cardiac Dysfunction

Cause of Death B: Arteriosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease

Other Significant Condition: Methamphetamine Effects

RIP ELSA GARCIA (September 27, 1958 – February 2, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 9:00 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on May 9, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
