Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 16-year-old Latino male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the teen as Elmer Quintanilla.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Multiple Gunshot Wounds

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 7:43 p.m.

Incident Location: 13089 Carl Street, northeast of San Fernando Housing at 10995 Lehigh Avenue in Pacoima

Four people, including two juveniles, were arrested in connection with this crime.

  • Giovanny Montesdeoca, arrested in Lancaster on Jan. 26
  • Jose Espinoza, arrested in Oxnard on Jan. 29
  • A juvenile identified only as Gomez, arrested in California City on Jan. 26
  • A juvenile identified only as Lopez, arrested in California City on Jan. 26.

One of the juveniles is expected to be tried as an adult.
