Los Angeles County is reporting the death of an 18-year-old Black male that occurred in a vehicle.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Elisha Carter.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Thermal Injuries and Smoke Inhalation

Other Significant Conditions: Blunt-Force Trauma of Head and Torso

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 5:45 a.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on December 9.
