(L.A.) Edgar Ortiz Escamilla, 32, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 32-year-old Latino male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Edgar Ortiz Escamilla of Long Beach.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Multiple Gunshot Wounds

RIP EDGAR ORTIZ-ESCAMILLA (March 11, 1992 – February 16, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 5:42 p.m.

The decedent was shot in the 1700 block of Long Beach Boulevard some time before 4:30 p.m.

On February 28, police arrested John Paul Mcintyre III, an 18-year-old resident of Long Beach, for the crime.
